National Night Out

National Night Out Collage

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. While the program was introduced in 1984, 2019 marked the City of Veneta’s inaugural National Night Out event, which takes place annually on the first Tuesday in August nationwide. Today, there are over 38 million people from 16,000 communities that participate across the country.

The City hosted the local Fern Ridge Neighborhood Watch groups, Lane County Sheriff’s Office, and Lane Fire Authority with food provided by the Alliance Church, family-friendly activities, and fun for all at the newly improved City Park.
