Urban Renewal

Background

The City of Veneta Urban Renewal Plan was adopted in 1984 and amended in 1998, 2007, 2013, 2015, and 2019 to further encourage infill, rehabilitation, and redevelopment consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Regulations adopted by the Veneta City Council.

Urban Renewal Plan

The Urban Renewal Plan is intended to guide the development of public improvements necessary for the redevelopment of the Urban Renewal District. The Plan is intended to eliminate blight, support existing businesses through the provisions of improved public facilities, and create new jobs and entice new industry.

Urban Renewal Agency Board

The Veneta City Council serves as the Urban Renewal Agency Board and meets on the second Monday of each month at the conclusion of the City Council meeting.
