Easter Egg Hunt
The Saturday before Easter is the popular Easter Egg Hunt. Organized and sponsored by the Veneta Park Board and Fern Ridge Kiwanis, this event attracts about 200 to 400 children.
Veneta and Sanipac team up to provide once-a-year free disposal of common yard waste items. Only Veneta residents are eligible to bring their yard debris, tree limbs, weeds, grass clippings, wood, metal, and recyclables. Residents can bring up to four automobile tires dismounted from the rim.
The location is 5th Street and Bolton Hill Road between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Tree City and Earth Day Celebration
Each year the Veneta Elementary School and Veneta Park Board hold a celebration at the Veneta Elementary School.
Veneta Downtown Farmer's Market
The farmer's market season runs from the first Saturday in May to the last Saturday in October. Shop local farm produce and artisan vendors. Check out the schedule for live music and children's events. The market accepts debit and credit cards and Oregon Trail cards.
Check out their Facebook page for more details.
The Harvest Festival
The Harvest Festival is an annual fundraiser to support the programs housed in the new Fern Ridge Service Center. Programs include the Love Project food pantry, Senior Meals and Dining, Senior Connections, and other senior recreational, social, and health services. The Harvest Festival includes:
- Live Music

The annual light parade is organized by the Fern Ridge Chamber of Commerce. Enjoy the creatively decorated fire trucks, cars, floats, and approximately 40 other brightly adorned vehicles as they wind through downtown. The parade route is 8th Street, east on West Broadway, south on 2nd Street, east on McCutcheon Avenue, north on Territorial Road, and ends on Jack Kelley Drive.
Takes place at Veneta Elementary school and includes music by the local school kids as well as a special visit from Santa. Celebrate the event with your family and friends, and spread cheer and joy!
